On Sunday, 2 August 2020 the NSW Chief Health Officer ‘strongly encouraged’ the wearing of masks in situations where physical distancing is hard to maintain. Clients will now see Connect drivers and bus assistants wearing masks as they provide services. Clients are not required to wear masks when travelling with us but we in turn strongly recommend that you do so.
Community transport is an essential service and on that basis we continue to provide our vital shopping, shuttle, medical, and individual transport services, and welcome new clients. Our social outings continue to operate – with some Covid safe modifications – and will do so until advised otherwise. Our winter calendar is available and bookings are open now.
Connect has adjusted the way it delivers its services to maximise the social distancing of our clients and staff for everyone’s health and safety. This includes the number of clients we carry per vehicle, where they sit and how we handle client fares. Vehicles are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected on a daily basis.
Our office staff continue to work from home where possible, and our drivers and bus assistants are in separate teams to ensure can continuity of services. Our hours of operation remain unchanged.
