Strong Mothers

By 04/08/2020No Comments

Strong Mothers is an organisation which aims to help heal generational trauma and present day trauma, creating a better future for Aboriginal women and their children.

Connect provides transport to mothers and babies each week to attend the Strong Mothers centre in Annandale to access the range of services available, which include (but are not limited to) Art Therapy, Cultural Learning, Dental Services, Community and TAFE learning, and funding support.

Recently a group of film makers, directed and produced by Peter Davies made this video for the organisation, which they would love to share.

While Strong Mothers is not an Aboriginal organisation,  it does have a central focus on Aboriginal mothers, and strives to help as any mothers as possible.

To refer a mother to this program, volunteer, make media inquiries or contribute resources such as food or professional services please contact Norma Tracey on 0448 419 049 or visit their website.
