2019 Community Building Partnership Grants – Have your say!

By 16/12/2019No Comments

This year, there is $300,000 in funding available in the Summer Hill electorate for the 2019 Community Building Partnership Grants.

Connect has applied for funding in order to make some improvements to our services and the support offered on those services.

If successful in this particular funding application, Connect proposes to invest in a new trailer.

The purchase of a trailer will enable Connect to offer our community more varied services with more capabilities. The addition of trailers provide the opportunity to stow luggage, increasing the opportunities for overnight outings, and new shopping services, enabling clients to acquire larger items they might not otherwise be able to manage unassisted.  We can ensure the  added safety of our clients and staff by stowing luggage, mobility aids and/or purchases in the trailer behind, rather than inside the vehicles. This will increase capacity without need for additional vehicles or resources.

The final decision on successful grants  is split between an independent panel of assessors in the Department of Premier and Cabinet and by State MP Jo Haylen. As part of Jo’s assessment of the grant, their office runs a community survey.

The survey has been posted to every household in the Summer Hill electorate and is now available online: www.johaylen.com/cbp19

Please show your support for Connect: Inner West Community Transport by completing this survey, and making your vote within the community count!
