Connect joined together with other Community Transport providers to man the Community Transport Organisation (CTO) stall at the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Fair Day on Sunday.
We had a great time and spoke to many wonderful visitors at the stall throughout the day!
We were there to provide information to the LGBTQI community about how to source local community transport services, what services are provided and eligibility to access the services.
Community transport services across NSW provide individual and group transport to people over 65 (who register through My Aged Care), to NDIS participants and others in the community who may be transport disadvantaged for a variety of reasons.
We take people shopping, to health and personal appointments, and on group social outings, connecting people within the community, facilitating independent travel and social interaction.
