Update from the EO

By 04/09/2018August 2nd, 2023No Comments

LCTG is pleased to release its latest outings calendar. Book anytime in the booking period as shown in the Calendar and we will do our best to accommodate you. Due to the popularity of our outings and our available capacity, we will try to prioritise clients who either have not been able to go on an outing, or have not been able to go on outing for some time. If there is strong interest, we may be able to put on another bus, so please express your interest.

My Aged Care Registrations

In July 2018, LCTG advised Clients who started using LCTG services before May 2015 that they may not be registered with My Aged Care. From 1 July 2018, these Clients have been required to register with My Aged Care. To date, LCTG still has several hundred clients falling into this ‘grandfathered’ category. In order to address this backlog, LCTG proposes to advise My Aged Care of its clients who are not registered with My Aged Care.

If you think you fall in to this category but would prefer LCTG not contact My Aged Care on your behalf, please call the office on 9558 6800 to speak with one of our friendly staff by 10 September 2018.

Feedback

LCTG is always keen to understand what our clients like and dislike about our services and how our services can best meet your needs. To this end, LCTG has just completed its first survey. LCTG thank the [random] sample of clients who participated in this exercise. We are considering the results. Our next survey will probably seek client feedback on our outings offering.

New ‘CityRunner’ service starts Monday 10 September 2018

LCTG’s new service – the ‘CityRunner Shuttle’ to the City and its surrounds – will commence each Monday from 10 September 2018.

Clients are able to use CityRunner for any purpose – social, medical, shopping – whatever takes their fancy.

CityRunner will operate from Leichhardt Marketplace to Marrickville Metro to RPA Hospital via King Street Newtown and thence Broadway Shopping Centre to Surry Hills and Central Train Station (near the Sydney Dental Hospital), through the City to Macquarie Street (near the Sydney Eye Hospital) to Darlinghurst and St Vincent’s Hospital before returning to the same destinations.

Living locally

Again a reminder that LCTG offers more than just safe and reliable transport for shopping and medical appointments.

LCTG provides a chance to connect with your friends, family and local community and do the things you want to do.

It is encouraging to see our clients begin to embrace this part of community transport’s purpose.

If you have not already, I encourage you to speak with one of our friendly staff to see what we can do.
